Day 1 - Pickup from a hotel
Depart Manila for Banaue going north on the Expressway and Cagayan Valley Road until the town of Bagabag in Nueva Ecija, where you start your ascent to Banaue Town, an elevation of 1300 meters above the sea level. Lunch on stop over. Arrive in Banaue late in the afternoon. Check in at Banaue Hotel or similar hotel. Dinner included.
Day 2
Early breakfast and optional walk down into baga-an village of Batad. (guest drive in to walk in point, walk approximately 75 minutes along stable paths.) At Batad explore village and take pictures. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit waterfalls. (1 1/2 hours each way--optional trip). Afternoon hike back the same way (60 minutes) or other route (2 hours), depending on guest preferences. Overnight at Bangaan Family Inn. Dinner.
Day 3
Breakfast. Early departure for Sagada via Banaue and Bontoc. After shopping and exploring, arrive in Sagada, checking in at Mapia-aw Inn or similar inn. Spend the afternoon exploring caves, seeing waterfalls. Lunch/dinner served at local restaurant.
Day 4
Mid-morning departure for Baguio via Mount Data. Six hour drive along Chico River takes tour through scenic rice terraces. Photo opportunities abound along the highest road in the Philippines. Check in at an intimate guest house. Lunch / dinner.
Day 5 - Baguio to Vigan
After breakfast, prepare for sightseeing in Baguio, see the Mansion house, Mines View Park, Wright Park. Unfortunately the famous Baguio Market has been recently burned down (2009) and there is no alternative at this time. Back to the hotel for check out and prepare to go to Vigan.
Vigan is packed with things to see. Visit the local Philippine Military Academy, or the Botanical Gardens. The area is littered with strawberry farms and other landmarks. Plenty to see.After breakfast, prepare for sightseeing in Baguio, see the Mansion house, Mines View Park, Wright Park. Unfortunately the famous Baguio Market has been recently burned down (2009) and there is no alternative at this time. Back to the hotel for check out and prepare to go to Vigan.
Day 6 - Vigan Sightseeing, then to Manila
Early breakfast, prepare for sightseeing in Vigan, heritage houses, Vigan pottery, museums, Vigan Cathedral, and a horse drawn carriage ride at the Meztizo district. Ample time for shopping. Visit the Philippine Military Academy, Botanical Gardens, or check out the strawberry farms and other landmarks. Back to hotel to prepare to go back to Manila. Arrive in Manila late in the evening.
End of trip.
